Why you're not an admin on an Indian Wikipedia? I understand India has quite some languages. Perhaps therefore it's hard to choose for you?

isn't these just publicity gimmicks . In India it is easy to get publicity if we just support Maoists/terrorists . May after some year you can see him contesting for an election

If humanity is the only case for him supporting Maoists then I would say there are millions of other causes in our country which a true Indian can support .
Why cant he just come and vist Kasargode and give some help to the endosulfan victims rather than Maoists

Kashmiri pandits need no sympathy from "liberals" its a pity that the liberals and so called educated masses of India are basically hindu and Hindu ideal bashers, this blog by Mr. Cherian is nothing but the concocted convienet stories webbed into a blog as done by all so called liberals of India.
you are right this isi the lip service of all liberals when it comes to Pandits of Kashmir.

J&K is the only state where articles 24-29 if Indian constitution are not applying for minorities.

The state can take over minority institutions, rather has taken over the pandit institutions like many colleges and mutts, not to forget the Amreshwar( now known as Amarnath) and Vaishno Devi shrine( In Jammu)

i want to ask all liberals why have they not uttered a word against the taking over of the KP institutions in Valley of Kashmir by Moslem state and yes the "sikular"Govt of J&K and Congress has not shown the light to the Kashmiri Hindu shrine Bill which is pending for last 3 years or are they waiting till every thing is finished, remember in kashmir a Shiva temple was demolished to make road, teh temple was around 700 yr old by the MLA/Minister of that place.

What makes you think I have anything against Hindus ? I have the greatest respect for Hinduism & Hindus. Most of my friends are Hindus. I am only against people who uses their religion to fight against each other, whether saffron , green or white whatsoever. People who genuinely have belief in their religion shouldn't have contempt and hatred towards others and other religions. I deeply appreciate people who respect others based on others' deeds and not from what religion they are. I am not sure you will understand, but frankly, the reason you see more and more hindus getting pissed off and joining the "saffron gang" is because people like yourself do things without understanding the reasons and consequences of what you are doing. On top of that you become part of a vote bank, which makes things worse.
Mocking hindus comes easily to you, but you are unable to see why a people who have traditionally accepted all sorts of beliefs have suddenly started behaving like cornered cats, especially in the last 100 years.
The next time you write about ideas which influence people, keep in mind that these ideas collectively will have repercussions. Will you make it your part to throw fuel, or to throw water? If you don't want to take it seriously, it is better if you don't talk about it, because these have become very serious issues.

I have a few comments:

Reg. Point 16, I can clearly see the convenient stand taken by most of your ilk to even avoid accepting that atrocities against Hindus are being committed leave alone condemning those.

A whole lot of people should be feeling "overwhelmed" by your personal support for Kashmir Pundits knowing fully well that you wouldn't go into the reasons for their present state.

While the reasons for his death are shrouded in a veil of mystery, it certainly was not to make way for Indira. She was brought in as a not-too-bright, easily pliable person (she was called "goongi gudiya", remember?) by the kingmakers. And, does throwing the fate of Kashmiri pundits or the massacre of Sikhs in 1984 or the Muslims in 2002 at anyone automatically invalidate what he is saying? This is indeed a case of convoluted logic , that just because the pot said so, the kettle ceases to be black. And, by the way, Tinu, how old were you in 1984? Did you read the newspapers in your diapers, you active supporter of genocide?
